Lana Breedt is a graphic designer living in the coastal city of Gqeberha, South Africa. She completed her diploma in Visual Communication at The Open Window in 2004 and has since gained experience across various areas of the industry. In 2010, she obtained a certificate in Conference, Exhibition and Event Management from Damelin. She decided to further her studies and enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Brand Communication at Vega School in 2025.

In 2005, she started her career as a graphic designer for a property magazine in Pretoria and gained valuable experience in publishing. Later that year, she relocated to Gqeberha, where she started working as a graphic designer and print coordinator. In 2007, she entered the field of video production and obtained experience in editing and producing video content. Subsequently, she had the opportunity to lecture at a tertiary institution and furthered her passion for the industry of art and design. Lana joined the team at Avusa Media in January 2009 and played her part in both online and print media for The Herald and Weekend Post newspapers. In 2011, their team won the Eastern Cape Vodacom Journalist of the Year award in the online category. Later that year, she embarked on her journey as a freelance designer and discovered her undying passion for magazine layout. She joined forces with Good News Lab in 2019 and thoroughly enjoys creative collaboration with like-minded individuals. She prides herself on an extensive portfolio of various design elements.

On a personal level, Lana is passionate about art and literature and spends her free time painting, drawing, writing and reading. She dreams of writing and illustrating a children’s book and eventually publishing an adult fiction novel.
